The plain version of how Nitpick works between you and us. Short sections, no riddles.
The service
Nitpick is a review tool for websites. A script tag on a customer’s site lets reviewers sign in, leave notes with screenshots, add voice or screen recordings of up to 90 seconds, and attach files. The notes are stored on the service and delivered to the places the customer chooses. We provide it, and we operate it, as Href Creative, LLC (“we”, “us”).
Accounts and workspaces
- You sign in with an emailed link. Keep your mailbox to yourself; whoever can read it can sign in as you.
- Each account has a workspace that holds your sites, your team and your billing. The person who creates a workspace is responsible for it.
- Reviewers do not need accounts. They use a PIN or an invite link that you give them, and you are responsible for who you give those to.
- Give us a real email address and keep it current, so we can reach you about your account.
The trial
Every workspace starts with 7 days of Studio, free, with no card. A trial may hold up to 100 notes. When the trial ends, or the cap is reached, your sites go read-only until you pick a plan. Nothing is deleted when that happens.
Plans and billing
- Plans are billed monthly or yearly, in advance, through Stripe. The current plans and prices are on the pricing page.
- Extra sites cost $5 a month, or $50 a year, on the same interval as your plan.
- You can change plans at any time. Changes are prorated, so you pay for what you used.
- You can cancel at any time and keep access to the end of the period you have paid for.
- We do not refund partial periods.
Acceptable use
- Install Nitpick only on sites you own or are authorised to review.
- What reviewers write, record and attach is the customer’s responsibility, as is having the right to collect it. Tell your reviewers what is captured, which includes a screenshot of the page and details such as their browser and viewport.
- Do not use the service to break the law, to collect what you have no right to collect, to attack or overload the service or anyone else, or to try to reach another customer’s data.
- We may suspend a workspace that does any of this, and will say why when we can.
Your data
The notes, screenshots, recordings, attachments and everything else you and your reviewers put into Nitpick belong to you. We process them only to run the service for you, as described in the privacy policy. We do not sell them, and we do not use them for anything else.
Availability
We make reasonable efforts to keep Nitpick running and to fix problems promptly. We do not yet promise a particular level of uptime, and the service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.
Ending things
- You may stop using Nitpick whenever you like, and cancel your subscription from the billing page.
- We may suspend or end a workspace for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, or if payment fails and stays unresolved.
- On request, we will delete a workspace and its data. See the privacy policy for how long things are kept.
Liability
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [State], and the courts there will settle any dispute, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When the change matters, we will email the account owner before it takes effect. Using Nitpick after that means you accept the new terms. The date at the top says when they were last updated.
